6-week Choreography Series

Service Description

Rehearsal Schedule: Rehearsals will be held at Core Studios on Thursday's from 8-9pm beginning Oct 6th. Dancers will need to arrive 10-15 mins early to stretch and warm themselves up. Rehearsal time will be dedicated solely to learning and refining choreography. Please arrive on time and ready to werk hard! Showcase Location and Date: The 4th Annual Get Up and Dance Showcase, sponsored by Leah Groover of Get Up and Dance Studio, will take place on Saturday, November 12th, 2022 at 7 p.m. The Showcase will occur at the Windmill Arts Center, located at 2823 Church St, Atlanta, GA 30344. Showcase Description and Intention: The GUAD Showcase is a multi genre showcase that gives a performance platform to any and all dancersin the greater Atlanta community. This includes genres such as (but not limited to) ballet, modern, tap, jazz, hip hop, ballroom dances, Latin dances, musical theatre, and more. Choreography Series Description and Intention: The 6-week Choreography Series gives JazzWerks clients an opportunity to showcase their learned skills and acquired talent in a formal performance setting. Collaborate with a choreographer to learn and perform a customized jazz piece in front of a live audience. Network with other like-minded individuals and track your growth over time. Receive individualized and group feedback in the areas of technique, performance skills, and dynamics. Sharpen your ability to learn long-form choreography with formations, stage directions, and transitions. Fees and Payments: Each performer has a one time $150 fee which includes registration for the showcase, choreography fee, and costume. Monthly JazzWerks class pass members can register for a discount at $125. Payment can be submitted by clicking the link here. Due Friday September 30th. Photos and Video: All performers of the showcase will receive professional photos and video of their performances. These will be distributed one month after the show, if not before.
